Less Annoying CRM

Part 1 — Setup

The following steps walk you through connecting your CRM with Canvass.

Step 1 — Connect API credentials

Sign into Less Annoying CRM and navigate to Settings > Programmer API.

Click on Enable API.

Click the Copy to clipboard link in the API Keys section.

Open a new browser tab then sign into Canvass and navigate to your company settings.

Switch to the INTEGRATE tab.

Select Less Annoying CRM from the drop-down, then paste your copied API key into the text input, and click ADD INTEGRATION.

Congratulations 🎉 — your API key has now been saved within Canvass!

Step 2 — Create a new Pipeline

Sign into Less Annoying CRM and navigate to Settings > Pipelines.

Click on Create another pipeline.

Select the option to Create the pipeline from scratch. Enter Canvass Interiew for the name. Select the Webcam icon. Then click on Create this pipeline.

It’s important to use exactly “Canvass Interview” for the name!

Delete the Active and Closed statuses which were created by default and replace them with statuses of Pending, Invited, Responded and Canceled.

It’s important to use exactly “Pending”, “Invited”, “Responded” and “Canceled” for the status names!

Click on Create a new custom field.

Open a new browser tab and sign into Canvass. Then navigate to the Settings tab within a position for which you’d like to invite candidates. Copy it’s Less Annoying CRM tag to your clipboard.

Return to your Less Annoying CRM browser tab and enter Canvass Position for the custom field name. Select Dropdown List for the field type. Paste the tag you copied from Canvass as a drop-down option. Check the box for Make this field required.

It’s important to use exactly “Canvass Position” for the name!

Simply add a separate drop-down option for each position you want linked

Congratulations 🎉 — you’re ready to begin interviewing!

Part 2 — Usage

The following steps walk you through conducting a Canvass interview from within your CRM.

Step 1 — Send an interview

Navigate to a contact you’d like to interview and click on Attach an item > Canvass Interview.

Select a position and click on Create Canvass Interview.

The interview will be created as “Pending”…

… and automatically transition to “Invited” within one minute.

You’ll need to refresh the page to see the updated status

Congratulations 🎉 — your candidate has been emailed an interview invite!

Step 2 — Review their response

The interview status will automatically become “Reponded” once the candidate has completed their interview.

Once this happens… Click on the link in their history to open it within Canvass.

Review their response and determine next steps.
